Per H. Bjerg founded Ph after 11 years’ military service as an officer.
Per H. Bjerg named the firm after the initials in his name. Ph began operations with the sale of products to the agricultural industry with the primary focus on the manufacture of systems for handling liquid manure. Other products were later incorporated into the product range, including the production of concrete slats and the construction of buildings for housing pigs.
The biggest task was the construction of pig houses for teaching purposes at an agricultural college in Dan Chang in Thailand.
A generational handover was completed in 2003 in which Per H. Bjerg’s sons, Jens and Ib Th. Bjerg, took over the firm and restructured the business to concentrate on the production of liquid manure systems.
For 25 years Ph has been active in terms of the environment without actually marketing the fact. At the end of 2006 a decision was taken to market 3 products in the firm Ph-miljø in collaboration with CLEAN AIR Innovation Aps;
- Reduction of odour in liquid manure in the liquid manure tank prior to transport out onto the fields
- Reduction of odour prior to leaving the stable
- Reduction of ammonia, dust and odour prior to leaving the stable
Per H. Bjerg decided to start a trading company, Ph-handel, whose focus was on the marketing of products for casting and moulding of:
- Concrete slats for pigs and cattle
- Concrete channel elements
- Concrete elements for liquid manure tanks
- Consultancy services and know-how concerning the manufacture of the above products
